Assessments of Attachment
Within Aspire Plus assessments of attachment are carried out only by professionals who hold specific training and/or university qualifications in attachment studies. Assessments of attachment contribute significantly towards devising targeted intervention plans for children who are struggling with their relationships and with their emotions. Whilst attachment is not the only factor which affects behaviour, the resolution of attachment difficulties plays a key role in enhancing emotional well-being and in maintaining a child’s foster placement.

Assessments of Access/Contact
Assessments of children’s contact with their parent(s)/ extended family are carried out solely by social workers who hold specific additional training and university qualifications in the assessment of attachment and observation of children. Please note our Child Contact Workers (access workers) provide factual reports in respect of their observations and do not assess contact.
